Use: Primarily used for the determination of trace silver ions, as an oxidation-reduction titrant, and as a catalyst for olefin polymerization. It is also commonly used to prepare standard solutions for redox titration and as a color-developing agent for the detection of polyols by thin-layer chromatography. In addition, it can be used for circuit etching and the production of other cerium-containing compounds.
